Jayesh Bhatia, Founding Director
 

Jayesh has over 17 years of experience in the natural resources management and the rural development sector. With post graduate degrees from the prestigious Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal and University of Oxford, he has worked with a range of organisations and institutions. He has been engaged with consultancy and research assignments supported by various clients addressing rural institutional development, capacity building, monitoring & evaluation, climate change adaptation, scouting and documenting rural innovations. He has led and co-ordinated multicultural & multi-agency teams in delivering complex assignments for various donors and has worked across India, PDR Laos, North Korea, United Kingdom and Kenya. Jayesh's expertise lies in problem analysis, the development of work plans and logical frameworks, development of project and programme budgets, contract negotiations, financial management and compliance. His belief in giving people a chance to participate in framing policies impacting them has seen him engaged with Policy and Communication Projects. He has worked on promoting, brokering and communicating policy change by working closely with the governments, international organisation, donors, NGOs and communities. Jayesh is a proud recipient of the Mitchell Young Scholar award by HARC's Center for Global Studies and Rice University's Energy and Environmental Systems Institute to explore the transition to sustainable development.

 
Rahul Agrawal, Director
 

With a professional degree in Engineering and Management, Rahul has substantial experience of working with Governments, Multilateral and Bilateral agencies, civil society organisations and private sector on providing technical assistance, programme management advisory and facilitating partnerships between various stakeholders across various State of India. Rahul is qualified in conducting institutional assessments, livelihoods assessment; capacity building, needs assessment and providing programme management support. He has also worked on identifying Social Enterprises that have demonstrated proof of concept, assessed their business models and provided technical assistance to support replication, reach and scale. Rahul is a member of CII Committee on Healthcare and Education.

 
Anand Shekhar, Vice President
 

Mr. Anand Shekhar currently serves as the Team Leader at NRMC the Executing Agency for Global Sanitation Fund in India. He has over 15 years of experience in the area of water and sanitation. Prior to this position, he has served DFID India in 2012 as WASH Advisor and Water Aid from 2003-2009 as the Regional Manager. He is an expert in the area of Program Management, Policy Advocacy, Project Planning and Evaluation, Capacity Building, etc. Mr Shekhar is Member of the Technical Expert Committee of MDWS, GoI, Member of the Task Force on Rural Housing, Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India and Member of the Task Force on Behaviour change and Monitoring and evaluation of Ministry of Urban Development for Swacch Bharat Urban 

 

Shailesh Nagar, Vice President
 

Shailesh has been working with NR Management Consultants for more than 5 years now and has participated in its growth story since it was a very young company. Shailesh loves to meet and work with people from across the section of society. He likes to go deeper into issues and consistently develop his understanding of the reality. An avid traveller, Shailesh wants to travel across the country on two or four-wheels, someday. Professionally, Shailesh likes to work at the cusp of research and development sector interventions (project design, implementation, monitoring & evaluation). He aims to strengthen linkages of academic and programmatic research with the programme planning and implementation in the development sector that ultimately informs the policy process of not only the implementing organizations and donors but also the state and country governments. Shailesh has more than 15 years of experience in development sector spanning areas of project design, implementation, documentation, capacity building, research and monitoring & evaluation. He has worked on wide range of thematic areas of development sector which include natural resource management, local governance, gender& women empowerment, climate change adaptation, social protection, rural livelihoods, child rights and child protection, institution development and strengthening etc. His work in research and consultancy in last five years is based on extensive experience of 10 years at the grassroot level in rural areas of Uttarakhand and Rajasthan. During his professional journey, Shailesh has provided support to different government and donor aided projects across various states in India. Some of these projects were funded by SIDA, CIDA, National Dairy Development Board, British High Commission, World Food Programme, The World Bank, IFAD, JICA, GIZ, UNDP, UN Women, OXFAM, IKEA Foundation and various ministries of Government of India. Shailesh is keenly interested in formative research and its use in design of development projects. His current interest areas are climate change adaptation especially in forestry and agriculture sector, rural livelihoods and disaster management. Shailesh is an alumnus of University of Cambridge, UK and a Shell-Chevening Scholar. He did his MPhil in Environment, Society and Development from Cambridge. Earlier, he did his masters from Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal in Forestry Management. Shailesh has also undertaken a short course in Climate Change Adaptation from Wageningen University, Netherlands.

 
Anisha, Consultant
 

Anisha is an MBA from the prestigious Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Mumbai.She started her career with Draft FCB Advertising and was responsible for operationalizing strategic brand and communication programs for organisations like Whirlpool, Reckitt Benckiser, Frito Lay, Digjam and others. Moving on, thereafter, to Goodyear Tyres for a 360 degree product strategy and implementation experience. After about six years of 'corporate' experience, Anisha joined WWF-India as Director Networking and Alliances. During her five year stay here, she worked in various capacities with key focus on communication and partnerships and engaging with the WWF International Network. She has also worked with Bharti Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Bharti Group of Companies, for over three years.

The development sector continues to be her passion, and she has now been consulting on projects related to CSR, Social Entrepreneurship, Rural Development, Youth Citizenship, Innovative Business Models for Ddevelopment and the like. Her client portfolio includes Civil Society Organisations, Social Enterprises, Advisory Organisations, Government Departments, Business and Industry and the Multilateral/Bilateral donor agencies.
